Listed by Côte d'Azur Sotheby's International Realty, on the sea front of Le Lavandou, facing the Saint-Clair beach, this magnificent waterfront holiday home, the Villa Dollander also known as the Villa Saint Clair, was designed by Henri Prouvé and built by his brother Jean in the 1950s.

Buit for the Dollander family, the Villa Saint-Clair offers an industrialized architecture, made with prefabricated elements.
Today the property remains a totally preserved architectural masterpiece, one of the most successful achievements of the Prouvé brothers who blend together the landscape and the sea. For the two brothers, this resort was the opportunity to initiate a new link with the natural environment.

In an exceptional setting within the Lavandou, on the seafront, the villa is nestled in a landscaped garden of 2,460 m² planted with Mediterranean essences. With 100 m2 of living area, the beach house mainly offers a living room, a dining room, a kitchen and three bedrooms.
Its large bay windows invite one to enjoy the landscape, a covered gallery promotes outdoor living and porthole doors generate play of patterns and light. This charming holiday home also includes an outbuilding of 85 m² which has a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Jean Prouvé, architect and designer, began his career as a “builder” in the 1930s. He studied and produced light and industrialized houses thanks to the assembly of prefabricated parts.Jean's younger brother, Henri Prouvé studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris in the 1930s and received an architect's diploma in 1947. He signed major projects such as the Tour Joffre Saint-Thiébaut in Nancy, the Saint-François d'Assise church of Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy or the Clos de Médreville.

The work of Jean and Henri Prouvé today enjoy an international recognition. Listed as a Historical Monument since 1991, labeled Heritage of the 20th century in 2008, this holiday home and its remarkable architecture is today listed for sale by Côte d'Azur Sotheby's International Realty, your prestigious real estate agency on the French Riviera.
