BFM Business Press - Interview with Eric Laboue on the Nice real estate market

Eric Laboue, director of our Côte d'Azur Sotheby's International Realty - Nice agency, was on Good Morning Business on BFM Business on June 28, 2023 to talk about the healthy state of the luxury real estate market in Nice, the city's appeal and its influence.

Eric confirms that the clientele in the "luxury" segment is very varied in terms of geographic origin, but the French remain in the lead, representing around 65% of potential buyers in the Nice market.

The city of Nice has been evolving over the last ten years, attracting French Tech, becoming a national hub for the arts and sports, and remains the Côte d'Azur's only international gateway with its airport.

The city is undergoing a complete transformation, becoming a real growth market on the Côte d'Azur, and is attracting more and more buyers, as are Cannes and Saint-Tropez, already well known to buyers. Urban developments underway, such as the new tramway lines and the extension of the Coulée Verte, bear witness to the city's determination to improve and move upmarket, improvements that are having a real impact on the city's prestige and luxury real estate market.

More and more luxury hotels and other prestigious establishments are springing up, such as the new Anantara hotel, on whose rooftop this interview was filmed.

As Eric Laboue explains, the Côte d'Azur market in Nice is surprisingly strong, with prices rising for both primary and secondary residences.
