The Villa Marizzina - a legendary Belle-Epoque residence

The Villa Marizzina - a legendary Belle-Epoque residence listed for sale by Côte d´Azur Sotheby’s International Realty.
Facing the sea, this period-style house has seen a succession of exceptional owners: a luxurious historic property with a remarkable history.

The Villa Marizzina, a legendary villa that stands proudly facing the Mediterranean in Cap d'Ail - French Riviera, a sought after city close to Nice, Monaco and Italy.

The one owned by Grand Duke Andrei Vladimirovich, cousin of Tsar Nicholas II, is now a listed villa, for sale by Côte d´Azur Sotheby’s International Realty in Beaulieu sur Mer.
Completely renovated and offering luxurious materials and the finest services, the Villa Marizzina was the resort of big names of the aristocracy and bourgeoisie.

Built in 1901 by the Countess of Morla, it belonged in 1913 to the Grand Duke Andrei Vladimirovich and his fiancée, the Polish ballerina Mathilde Kshesinskaia, who then baptized it Villa Alam.
In 1929, the sumptuous property, completely renovated, was sold to Princess Odescalchi, heir to a long aristocratic dynasty of the most influential in Italy. It was Princess Odescalchi who gave Villa Marizzina its current name. Upon her death in the 1980s, she bequeathed the property to one of her servants who later resided in one of the residence's wings.

The current owner bought the listed villa in 2010. He renovated it with meticulous attention to detail in order to preserve the historic character of the house, its bow windows, its belvedere, its marquee, its moldings and oriel windows.

Built on a plot of 1200 m2 enjoying a sensational sea view, enjoying a pretty landscaped garden and a swimming pool, this majestic villa of more than 500 m2 mainly offers, on 4 levels, a superb reception with 3 lounges, 2 kitchens, an office, video room, master suite, and 6 en-suite bedrooms with dressing room and shower or bathroom rooms.
This high-end residence benefits from high-quality luxury materials and offers exceptional services: marbled stucco finish on the walls, marble on the floor, sound system in the partitions, double heating system (floor and reversible air conditioning), security system with alarms and video surveillance. 4 car garage, 2 car parking.
