The music invites itself on the French Riviera!

In only a few years, the Côte d'Azur has become a Must for music lovers! Several festivals and concerts are organized during summer evenings, and there is an abundance of choice to satisfy the enjoyment for each and everyone 
The first Jazz  festival of the world occured in 1948, in NICE.

The Nice Jazz Festival

The Nice Jazz Festival takes place in a perfectly charming location in the heart of the historical and tourist heritage of the city of Nice: the Arena of Cimiez and the Theatre des Verdures. For 70 years, this cultural gathering has brought together international artists including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Carlos Santana. Willing to be more eclectic, the Nice Jazz Festival decided to open up to diverse musical trends.This year, Nice Jazz Festival will welcome nearly 30 French and international groups on the iconic scene of the Théâtre de Verdure and Place Masséna from July 16 to 21: Black Eyed Peas, Angele, Ibrahim Maalouf and many more.

 

The other music events in the French Riviera this summer

Underneath the spectacular pines, Jazz à Juan will take place this year from July 12 to 21. For its fifty-ninth anniversary, the Antibes-Juan-les-Pins festival has kept its diversity of genres and programming and proposes as headliners Jamiroquai, Ben Harper, Diana Krall and George Benson.

Music lovers can also enjoy Jazz in Ramatuelle with the greatest jazz artists of the moment. This 34th edition is marked by the arrival of Harold Lopez-Nussa and Michael Wollny between 16 and 20 August.

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Festi'Vence offers, from June 28 to 30, 20 free outdoor concerts within the charming village squares of Vence. Musical diversity is at the heart of the program with varied styles such as classical, jazz and world music.

The Ramatuelle Festival offers three evenings of "Classical Nights" from July 27 to 30 at the Théâtre de Verdure. This year, the artistic choice was to present different musical paths with the Nice Mediterranean Ballet, the operatic concert "Anges et Demons", the Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir of the Nice Opera as well as many French singers.
