Bourgeois style

If the French Riviera is the exemplification of the Belle Epoque architecture (XIX) in the south of France, some master properties were not however built yet during this period. Nevertheless, these manors, mansions and even some apartments appropriated the architectural features and the very marked style and decoration of the era.

This is called a bourgeoise house, or bourgeois apartment. Thus, you will find beautiful high ceilings, furniture in solid wood, heavy curtains and other upholstery, quality parquet ... The bourgeois style expresses itself as much in a palace Belle Epoque than a Provencal farmhouse: small lords and rich parishioners erected mansions in the XVIII, inspired by the Renaissance and the Louis XVI style.

Côte d’Azur Sotheby's International Realty has chosen the most elegant homes and apartments with lovely moldings and balconies typical of the genre, available for sale or seasonal rental.
